Day 1:
Arrive at Paro International Airport and receive a traditional welcome. Drive to Thimphu, stopping en route at Tamchog Lhakhang. Enjoy the scenic journey through the valleys and spend the evening exploring Thimphu town or visiting Tashichho Dzong. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2:
Explore the cultural highlights of Thimphu, including the Buddha Dordenma statue, Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum, Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts & Crafts School), and the National Textile Museum. Visit the local market to experience daily Bhutanese life. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3:
Drive from Thimphu to Punakha via the picturesque Dochula Pass, offering panoramic Himalayan views and the 108 chortens. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple, followed by an exploration of the magnificent Punakha Dzong and a walk across the suspension bridge. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 4:
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Punakha with a visit to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, known for its peaceful atmosphere and valley views. The rest of the day can be spent at leisure, exploring the countryside or simply enjoying the serene surroundings. Overnight stay in Punakha.
Day 5:
Drive back to Paro, stopping along the way to enjoy scenic viewpoints. Upon arrival, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, and enjoy a leisurely evening in Paro town. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6:
Discover Paro’s cultural heritage with visits to Rinpung Dzong, the traditional Nyamai Zampa bridge, and the National Museum of Bhutan. Later, experience Bhutanese hospitality with a visit to a traditional farmhouse. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 7:
Embark on the highlight of the tour—a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), perched high on a cliff. The hike offers stunning views and a deeply spiritual experience. Return to Paro for a relaxed evening, with an optional hot stone bath. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 8:
Transfer to Paro International Airport for departure, concluding the journey with lasting memories of Bhutan’s rich culture, monasteries, and breathtaking landscapes.
