Thimphu Tshechu

Day 1
Arrive at Paro International Airport and drive to Thimphu, enjoying the scenic valley views en route. Check in at the hotel and explore Thimphu town or visit Tashichho Dzong in the evening.

Day 2
Attend the first day of Thimphu Tshechu at Tashichho Dzong, witnessing sacred Cham dances, rituals, and cultural performances. Explore festival markets and local handicraft stalls.

Day 3
Continue festival celebrations while also visiting Thimphu’s key sights, including the Buddha Dordenma Statue, Memorial Chorten, Institute for Zorig Chusum (Arts & Crafts School), Folk Heritage Museum, and local markets.

Day 4
Attend the final day of Thimphu Tshechu, enjoying the Grand Masked Dance Finale. Explore local markets for traditional Bhutanese crafts and optionally visit Changangkha Lhakhang for panoramic city views.

Day 5
Take a full-day excursion to Punakha via Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens. Visit Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang before returning to Thimphu in the evening.

Day 6
Drive to Paro and embark on the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) hike, a 4–6 hour round trip offering stunning cliffside views and a spiritual experience. Return to Paro for a relaxed evening.

Day 7
Optional morning visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, followed by transfer to Paro International Airport for departure.
